Expansion to Romania & Hungary on eMAG
The client
A manufacturer of kitchen furniture sets, wardrobes, wall units, and bathroom furniture.
The challenge
Find a new market with high demand, enter it fast but in a controlled way, adapt the furniture offer (size, price, logistics) to local realities, and build sales from scratch with no account history and no reviews.
What we did
After analyzing European marketplaces, we proposed eMAG (Romania and Hungary) — a fast-growing, less saturated market well-suited to furniture. We handled full account registration and setup, built listings from scratch tailored to local customers, defined the market-entry strategy for RO and HU, launched and optimized campaigns, and used eMAG's sales events actively.
The results
Month 1: account registered and listings published. November: first sales and real traction. December: continued growth and process stabilization. January–February: sales exceeding 400,000 RON/month. Subsequent months stabilized at €250,000–€300,000/month.
Key takeaway
A well-planned expansion to the right marketplace can generate hundreds of thousands of euros per month — even for bulky products like furniture. Strategy plus execution, not luck.
